TRISTAN & LOUNA LADEVANT

The Ladevant brothers, Tristan, 26, and Louna, 23, have made a name for themselves on the international ice climbing competition circuit, on tall artificial structures. In both speed events - a vertical sprint on ice and lead events - on mixed routes, i.e. only partially covered in ice - they have won everything in recent years. In 2022, Louna was world champion, with Tristan, 3rd in the competition, next to him on the podium.

European champion in 2021 and 2023, Louna won the World Cup again in 2023.

Originally from Barcelonnette (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), Louna and Tristan have been inseparable since they were very young. They had an atypical childhood: their mother raised them in a yurt out in the countryside, summer and winter, and home-schooled them for several years. This upbringing forged their strong character and, above all, their thirst for freedom. After both studying music in Grenoble, they became involved in professional sports.

As well as ice climbing, they often indulge in sport climbing, up to 9a for Louna and 8c for Tristan, and have had many climbing adventures together, on very high-level big walls all over the Alps but also in Brazil and Kyrgyzstan. "Our dream is to enjoy multi-discipline climbing at the highest possible level," they say. They are also keen to give an ethical dimension to their adventures, particularly in terms of reducing their carbon footprint.
